HOW NIH GRANT REVIEW WORKS:

The 4-step process to make your grant proposal more competitive

  1. PREP CALL: Book a call with me to talk about your proposal, identify any areas that need special attention, and agree on deadlines.*

  2. ROUND 1 REVIEW - STRATEGY AND STRUCTURE: Send me your draft on or before our deadline and I’ll return your document with strategic recommendations and edits.

  3. REVISION TIME: Take my recommendations and accept/reject my changes. (Pro tip: talk to your co-investigators during the revision phase)

  4. ROUND 2 REVIEW - EDITING AND FINE-TUNING: Send me your revised draft by the deadline and I’ll return your document with more recommendations and edits. (Depending on how major the Round 1 revisions were, Round 2 may focus more on fine-tuning)

* Deadlines depend on how much time you have. We need a minimum of 4 weeks to get your proposal in fighting shape, but if you’re ready to get started earlier than that you’ll get a huge discount on the package price.

NIH Grant Review PACKAGES

Each package includes two rounds of review & recommendations. You don’t just get strategic advice and editing—you get someone to keep you on track through the whole process.

You decide when you’re ready to start. We need a minimum of 4 weeks before the application deadline, but if you’re ready to go 6 or 8 weeks in advance, you can get a big discount (and a lot more time to incorporate revisions).
