NIH Grant Review

Health Research Grant Review

Get my eyes on your grant to turn a blah proposal into a winner.

What a grant review can do for you:

No more guessing

Have you been using the trial-and-error approach to figure out what reviewers want? (Stop that) My review process can help you pinpoint exactly what you need to do to impress the review panel. I’ll make sure you got it right, so that your next application has some swagger.

No more MEH scores

If you’ve been getting okay scores but you’re stuck just outside the payline (or worse: your applications keep getting triaged), my grant review will help you tweak your proposal to make it clear, persuasive, competitive—and fundable.

No more hair-on-fire writing

Hiring me for a grant review means you need to be organized—sort of—but here’s the real perk: I keep you on track the whole time. I’m reminding you about deadlines and making sure you get things done on time. And I’m telling you when NOT to work on your writing. So it’s like you’re hiring a trainer AND an editor.

Working with me will make your grant better—for sure. But here’s the thing:

This is for go-getters only.

My clients are people who are used to working their butts off and sticking to a deadline. People who are accustomed to juggling eleventy billion things at once, and who still manage to get it all done.

You need to have your sh*t together.

Writing big operating grants is no joke. And if you want to get it right, if you want it to be so effing good they can’t ignore you, you need to leave no stone unturned. Which means you need to commit to the process, the deadlines, and the advice.

The advice I’ve given to previous clients has helped them win more than $13.5 Million in operating funds in just a few years. This works—but you’ve got to follow the process.

Are we cool? Great.

Now let's get to work.

Here’s what we’ll do to slay your next grant proposal:

  1. PREP CALL: We talk about your research and your proposal, and we agree on Round 1 and Round 2 deadlines.*

  2. ROUND 1 REVIEW (STRATEGY): You send me your draft on or before our deadline, and I return your document with my recommendations on strategic improvements to your proposal.

  3. REVISION TIME: You work on revisions based on my recommendations.

  4. ROUND 2 REVIEW (CLARITY): You send me your revised draft on or before our deadline and I return your document with my recommendations on clarifying and polishing your proposal before you submit.

*The deadlines depend on which package you choose: 4-week, 6-week, or 8-week. More details below.

You have three options based on how much time you need.

Each package includes two rounds of revisions.

Biomedical Grant Review 4-Week Package

4-week

How it works

This one's for the hair-on-fire folks (you know who you are).

You get me your draft 4 weeks before the competition deadline, and I return your draft with recommendations in 4 business days. We do two rounds of reviews.

Biomedical Grant Review 6-Week Package

6-week

How it works

This one's for most people: sort of organized, sort of last-minute.

You get me your draft 6 weeks before the competition deadline, and I return your draft with recommendations in 7 business days. We do two rounds of reviews.

Biomedical Grant Review 8-Week Package

8-week

 How it works

This one's for the super-organized, slow-and-steady folks.

You get me your draft 4 weeks before the competition deadline, and I return your draft with recommendations in 10 business days. We do two rounds of reviews.
